Band
3 weeks ago we had our band competition in Midland. We went to school until 4th period, and even then we still had to wait a little bit. We went just 30 min. into the period and then we were dismissed for lunch. After that we came to the band hall at 12:30 and departed at 1:00. When we got to Midland, we waited for about a half hour. During that half hour people either slept or they went to the bathroom. We went to warm up at 2:30. We performed at 3:00. President Witcher was there to listen and watch and he thought it was fantastic! I must have been because we ended up getting a 1 in both concert and sight reading. Of course we ended up getting a sweepstakes. But something even more amazing than that is that the symphonic band (B band) got a sweepstakes also! From what I hear that hasn't happened in Monahans in 10 years! A lot of amazing things happened this year including getting a 2 in marching.
